Shoulder & Arm Treatments at Redeemer Health
Some conditions like a broken bone necessitate a trip to the emergency room, while other injuries may only need physical therapy. You may require an orthopedic consult to determine whether surgical or nonsurgical treatment will be best for you. Redeemer is here to help with experienced specialists who are focused on helping you heal and recover quickly.
We offer expertise in shoulder and elbow replacement, arthritis of the shoulder and elbow, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures and dislocations, tendonitis and sports injuries.
Shoulder and arm care at Redeemer consist of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
- Arthroscopy, which uses a lighted instrument with a camera to view the inside of a joint. Arthroscopy can help diagnose joint problems and is also a minimally invasive treatment method for some conditions.
- Nonsurgical treatments, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, medications, joint injections, and braces or slings.
- Shoulder replacement surgery, such as partial, reverse and total shoulder replacements, with the option of minimally invasive surgery for some people.
- Soft tissue repairs, including rotator cuff repair and reconstructive surgery.
As important to your healing as any procedure is rehabilitation and follow-up care. Redeemer Health's physical therapists can help you regain strength, stability, function, and flexibility in your shoulder arm, and hand. After a shoulder or upper arm procedure, physical therapy is the key to returning to life without joint pain or disability.
Redeemer is proud to support our community through quality arm and shoulder care convenient to Northeast Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County.
