Why You May Receive Multiple Bills for One Hospital Visit

If you received care in a hospital setting, you may be billed for both facility and professional fees. The hospital bills for the facility service fees and the physician bills for the professional service fees and/or interpretation/reading of tests.

You may not meet all providers who assist with your care. For example, you may not have met the physician who reads and interprets your radiology and laboratory results.

If you received professional services from a private practice physician who maintains medical staff privileges at Holy Redeemer Hospital but is not employed by Holy Redeemer, you will receive a bill directly from that physician's office and will need to contact the number on that specific billing statement if you have any questions.
