About Anna Marrissa Mazor, DO

Dr. Anna Mazor has a true passion for caring for individuals with benign and malignant diseases of the breast. A board-certified breast surgeon, she believes in patient empowerment through knowledge of their disease and a holistic approach to breast cancer care.

“In treatment, we do not just focus on the disease, but take into account the whole patient and include the patient in the decision-making process,” says Dr. Mazor. Her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis solidified Dr. Mazor’s interest in a career in breast surgery when she was a teen. Now, in addition to her desire to help women like her mother, Dr. Mazor draws on her experience as a BRCA2 previvor who lives with an elevated risk for breast and other cancers. She combines her individual perspective with her clinical knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive and supportive care for her patients. 

Dr. Mazor earned a degree in osteopathic medicine and completed a residency in general surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Outside of work, Dr. Mazor loves traveling, spending time with her sons, and dining out. Her personal approach to wellness combines daily mindfulness practices, contrast (sauna/cold plunge) therapy and resistance training.
