Breast Cancer Treatment Options

Breast cancer care is a rapidly advancing field and women diagnosed with it now have more hope for survival than ever before.

Your care team at Redeemer Health will carefully plan your treatment based on the latest research, your personal needs and preferences, the stage of the disease, and the specific type of breast cancer.

Treatment options available at Redeemer Health include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Hormone therapy
  • Radiation therapy
  • Surgical oncology and reconstructive surgery
  • Targeted immunotherapy

Clinical trials that help to further the field of breast cancer care and define new treatment options are available for patients who wish to participate in them.

Redeemer Health provides additional support services that include physical therapy, lymphedema therapy, emotional counseling, nutritional counseling, financial counseling, and support groups. We also provide survivorship care and support to assist you through your recovery.

Breast Cancer Screening

Redeemer Health offers routine mammograms at our convenient Bensalem, Huntingdon Valley, Feasterville, and Southampton locations.

Mammography can detect breast cancer before a lump becomes large enough to be felt, and improve overall survival from cancer due to early detection.

Current mammography guidelines for women at average risk are:

  • Women 40 and older should have a mammogram every year
  • Women 20 – 39 should have a clinical breast exam every one to three years

However, your healthcare provider may recommend another strategy based on your family and medical history.

Redeemer Health also offers 3D mammograms for women concerned about breast cancer symptoms. If anything concerning is detected, we provide the latest biopsy technologies, including ultrasound-guided, stereotactic by MRI, and transducer, which can be used instead of a needle biopsy.

Redeemer provides comprehensive breast cancer care convenient to Northeast Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Bucks County.
