Grateful Patient Returns to Holy Redeemer Hospital to Show Appreciation

Share

Michal Goldstein was rushed to the Holy Redeemer Hospital’s emergency department, barely conscious, unaware that her life was in danger. She required fast, dramatic intervention and emergency surgery, leading to a long, slow recovery. Michal and her husband, Rabbi Eliyahu Goldstein, exercised fortitude and resilience during her battle back to health, yet her thoughts turned not to herself, but to those who saved her life.

"They displayed unbelievable humility, dedication, and persistence, as well as professionalism, expertise, and empathy,” said Michal, “to ensure that I would continue to be a wife to my husband and a mother to my six children."

The Goldstein’s returned to Holy Redeemer Hospital after Michal regained some strength, to show gratitude to Dr. Brandon Eilberg, Dr. Lauren Matsnev, and emergency nurse Amanda Minor. At a moving and emotional reunion, the Goldstein’s presented plaques to the doctors and a blanket to Amanda, thanking them for the warmth and comfort she received as a Holy Redeemer patient.
