Mona Saleh, M.D.

Dr. Mona Saleh is a fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist. She specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as traditional open surgery, for treating cancers and pre-cancers of the female reproductive tract, including ovarian, endometrial/uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal and gestational trophoblastic disease. She also manages patient surveillance and survivorship after surgery. 

Dr. Saleh earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she also completed her OB/GYN residency. She completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Saleh is fluent in English, Arabic and Spanish, and strives to use her linguistic and cultural fluency to help patients of all backgrounds.

With a great respect for women, no matter their religion, language, culture or experiences, Dr. Saleh chose her specialty to be able to serve them in some of their most vulnerable moments. She typically meets patients just after they’ve received a cancer diagnosis, a moment when they’re feeling especially vulnerable. She guides them through their treatment journey, encouraging them to envision themselves post-treatment, when they can look back and appreciate their own strength. 

While Dr. Saleh walks along with her patients as doctor and surgeon, she recognizes that, ultimately, it is their journey. She provides evidence-based recommendations on how to manage their cancer while always prioritizing patient autonomy. She works to ensure patients are comfortable raising any issue with her at any time.

Living in her hometown, Dr. Saleh enjoys spending time with her husband and son and contributing to the community that raised her. She continues to pursue a lifelong love of reading, especially early 20th-century American literature.
