Month/Year Started at Redeemer Health: October 1992
Previous Positions and Companies: I was introduced to Holy Redeemer Health System in 1991 through my work with Coopers & Lybrand ("C&L" now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). I was a consulting manager at C&L and the health system was a client. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to assist in the acquisition of Lafayette Redeemer from its previous owner. That acquisition was finalized in June 1992. I was very impressed with Holy Redeemer and by October 1992 I joined the team in the finance department. In 1994 I assumed the position of Chief Information Officer and served in that role until 2003. During this period in our history we were expanding our home care and hospice presence in New Jersey via acquisitions and I was asked to move my office to Runnemede and lead the integration of Home Care South and Home Care North into the system. I served in that role until 2011 before moving back to my present role in Corporate overseeing Information Technology, Supply Chain and working on our numerous collaborations, partnerships and business relationships. My responsibilities also include management of the health system's investments and retirement programs.
How does your work here contribute to the Redeemer Health mission to care, comfort and heal?
I am very proud of the past work I have done in home care and hospice which has given us the opportunity to expand our geographic reach throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and advance the mission beyond our immediate service area. Additionally, our deployment of technology continually increases our ability to serve patients, residents and clients more safely and enhances our commitment to SafeCare.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy using my talents to assist other non-profit organizations that have a vision consistent with Redeemer Health. I have been a board member of various Archdiocese of Philadelphia entities for more than 20 years. I also proudly serve on the finance committee of the Sisters of the Redeemer.
Outside of work I enjoy golf and attending or watching numerous Philadelphia sports events. I have a particular passion for NCAA college basketball, both locally and nationally, and our Philadelphia Phillies. I have attended spring training several times and plan to do it again in the future.
What would you like to share about your family and pets?
My wife Maggie and I will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary this May. Maggie is a longtime volunteer at Holy Redeemer and we share a common commitment to the mission and vision of the Sisters. We have two sons: Colin (24) and Connor (21). We have had many pets over the years. Our latest addition is a Bernedoodle puppy named Bailey.
