For more than 30 years, Redeemer Month, and formerly Redeemer Week, has been celebrated at Redeemer Health. Redeemer Month is a special time to be mindful of and grateful to Jesus the Redeemer, the one whose name Redeemer Health and the Sisters of the Redeemer are privileged to bear. United in our call to serve in the Catholic Health Care ministry, we are witness to the healing ministry of Jesus. We reverence the sacredness of life and the beauty of religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity.
During Redeemer Month the Sisters of the Redeemer express gratitude for the dedication and commitment of each person carrying out Redeemer Health’s mission to care, comfort, and heal. It is a time for everyone in the Redeemer Family to celebrate the collaborative efforts and experiences that support the mission and values of Redeemer Health.
Traditionally, Redeemer Month was celebrated in May and is now being celebrated in September. September is important to the heritage and legacy of the Sisters of the Redeemer. September 9 was selected by the Vatican as the official Feast Day of Blessed Alphonse Maria Eppinger, Founder of the Sisters of the Redeemer. This special day is recognized throughout the world as it marks the anniversary of Blessed Alphonse Maria’s birth in Niederbronn, France, in 1814.
