About Halim El Hage, MD

Dr. Halim El Hage provides all services related to pulmonary critical care medicine, from rounding in the intensive care unit to performing procedures and interpreting lung images and breathing tests. He was instrumental in helping to launch the Redeemer Health EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) program.

Dr. El Hage is gratified by his ability to positively impact his patients by solving problems related to their most valuable asset: their health. He especially relishes the process of looking for the diagnosis, including the wide variety of procedures involved in the fast-paced ICU, and then teaming up with patients and their families to create the patient’s best possible treatment plan.

A native of Lebanon, Dr. El Hage earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut. He completed residencies in internal medicine in Beirut and Staten Island, New York, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine in Staten Island.

Dr. El Hage is board certified in internal medicine and in pulmonary medicine, and board eligible in critical care medicine. He joined Redeemer Health in 2019, convinced our camaraderie and family-like feeling would make this the right place to start his career.

Outside of medicine, Dr. El Hage enjoys spending time with his wife, travelling, working out, watching movies, and trying out new restaurants in Philadelphia. He also loves to play beach volleyball, Spikeball, tennis, and all sorts of competitive sports. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
